Description
This white primrose with yellow centers are always a pleasant sight after the first winter's thaw. You see that is when it shows it's flowering buds. Then a week or two afterwards when it is still rather cold and frosty outside these bright flowers come to their own. In the summer heat they barely hang on but come the Autumn frost they are ready to come back to life till they are covered with snow. That's OK though. I always know they will wake with the first light of spring to greet me once again.
The surrounding greenery are forget-me-nots. They are not yet ready to show their faces but soon my primrose will fade and melt into a sea of baby blue forget-me-nots. That will be another lovely view for another lovely day.
As for the log, well, I am known for finding different things in nature to grace my garden. I have a few old logs that I saved from the fire pit because they have a nice shape. I put them in my garden for interest as they slowly get swallowed up in nature but what fun to watch them.
