I never really understood why I would sing to myself that old Oliver song from the early 70's "Good Morning Star Shine" when I tend to my morning glories in the garden but I always have. Now I know why. When I took this close up shot of a beautiful white morning glory with light blue specs I not only found that by turning it gray-scale it highlighted the folds or creases in the petals and they appear to form a star shape while the center is so light and transparent that it shines like a beacon.

Yes, sometimes black and white simply highlights nature's beauty which color doesn't show.
