Description
I am always so enthralled with these large lilies. They are an extra effort to grow as in this area they would not survive the winter so each fall I dig out the plants and dry out the tubers to plant again each spring. I plant first thaw and then cover them with tarps so they survive any more frost that might come along. When the warmth of the sun hits each day I uncover them and recover them when the sun passes.
A lot of work? Yes indeed but worth every effort to see these beautiful tall red spires reach above the garden it is planted in.
