This lovely little park in Youngstown NY was a wonderful spot to explore on a Sunday afternoon. At first sight it is a small spot with the gazebo and flag that draws you in but once in the park you find a great secret. A stairway down to the quaintest marina which is sitting on the Niagara River just a stones throw from Fort Niagara and overlooking Fort George and Niagara On The Lake.

I am sure because of the proximity of this park it has seen it's share of battles in it's day but for us it was just a pleasant spot to explore. If you have never been to Youngstown you don't know what you are missing. It is a small town but so pretty. It reminds me of the setting of the play "Our Town". Very Americana.
