I found these cardinals in the store and spent a long time contemplating as to whether I should buy them or not.

I love my cardinals in the backyard so much. They are the sweetest and prettiest little birds but the key word is little. These statuettes are 4 times the size of a real cardinal and their legs are conciderably longer than any cardinal I have ever seen. The actual bird is actually round and close to the ground.

Anyways I loved these birds even if they are not true representatives to the real bird but then art is not about the norm. So with that in mind I came very close to buying them but instead I took a couple of photos and then came home to ask my husband what he thought.

Knowing me, he told me I should go back and buy the birds if I love them that much. Should have known he would say that and I should have bought them in the first place because when I went back they were gone.

So here I am preserving them forever in a lovely piece of art for you and me to enjoy forever.
