Description
This is the famous Skylon Tower in Niagara Falls Canada. The photograph was taken by myself below the tower on the Niagara Parkway. All around the tower you will find the tracks for the outdoor elevators which constantly climb up and down and the first set of windows is a lovely buffet restaurant. Above that is the rotating dining room where you can dine on Steak and Lobster and such prepared by world class chefs as you watch the falls and surrounding area move around below. It revolves at 1 revolution an hour so you can catch the entire view and if you reserve your table at the right time you can catch the fireworks above the falls in the evening. Above the restaurants are both indoor and outdoor observation decks where you can enjoy not only an overhead view of the falls but you can also see Buffalo and Toronto if the weather is right.
If that isn't enough to encourage a visit to the Skylon you will find it a perfect rainy day spot for the gang at the base with a large family arcade. Something for everyone. Of course, when down by the falls you can always look up and enjoy this view, an architecturally eye pleasing structure which has long ago become an iconic site of it's own.
