This song was written and sung in the early 1970's by Jud Strunk. I think it has also been recorded by other artists since but I will always favor the original and I still, almost 50 years later, can't get through this whole song without a sentimental tear in my eye.Every time I contemplate a patch of daisies I always find myself looking for the perfect one of the bunch as I sing the chorus of this song in my head.
