Description
Way back in the 1970's my parents used to take yearly vacations to Mexico. We were teenagers at the time and the last thing we wanted to do was spend our summer vacations with Mom and Dad in a foreign land so they left us to ourselves with the neighbors keeping a close eye on things and off they would go on their happy adventures.
Upon their arrival home they would always be weighed down with all sorts of trinkets and souveniers for us and other family members. Many of these treasures are still valued articles in mine and my sister's homes.
This Aztec Calendar was one of those treasures. They bought it for my grandmother, who wasn't very religious but she had those embedded beliefs and when Mom and Dad proudly presented her with this beautiful wall plagued she went balistic. She would not ever have that pagan relic anywhere in her home, so much to my Mother's chagrin it became up for grabs and this girl was the proud winner. I keep this Aztec Calendar by my front door and have always had it in my home.
It has never brought any sort of luck, good or bad, that I know of and am happy to announce "There goes Grandma's theory!"
